1840 Southern full tester bed, over queen width, matched grain and high grain mahogany, 8'11" tall, impressed #10 on inside of tappered mahogany octagon post, seven inch tapered octagon post, turned tulip shaped tops, 9" molded and ogee canopy, double panel headboard, scrolled molded crest on head and footboard, this bed is similar to/possibly by same maker as the bed in our August auction which was purportly by New Orleans maker, provenace a southern Alabama antebellum home, overall 73"w 86"l, inside rails 65"w 77"l. Dark original finish.
