Circa 1870 Rococo Regulator wall clock, “Hatch” Baltimore banjo, case impressed- “DLW”, solid brass banjo style time only movement, cast lead banjo weight, great rosewood grained / cherry case, door bezels and scrolled side spandrels, “Hatch”, “Regulator” and Roman numerals on painted steel dial, gold gilt decorated and ebonized lower glass and throat glass. 35.25” long, 14.5” wide, 4” deep. Dial- 13” dia. Condition – excellent old finish, working currently, some chips on edge of left scroll end (photo 11,12), excellent repainted and gilt bottom and throat tablets on wavy glass, splintered missing piece at hook on door-closes solid. 1763 - George D Hatch, North Attleboro, MA (1816-1879) (w1845-1870). Worked in conjunction with David L Williams (1867-1871) building cases, “DLW” incised on lower case board.
