- Provenance - Pensacola, FL estate of a recognized commercial designer and artist. She was a client of mine as well as purchasing this in the 1970-80s from a local dealer that picked this item in Ohio.
- This cupboard is very similar in size, construction and wood to an item sold with a collection of items and a provenance from Shaker Union Village, Warren County, Ohio (1805-1912). At Cowans Auctions, Cincinnati, OH lot 234, July 14, 2018 (last photo is of this cabinet).
- The Shaker Union Village, Warren County, Ohio (1805-1912) was the first and largest Shaker community west of the Allegheny Mountains. Nearly 4,000 Shakers lived in Union Village, owning 4,500 acres of land with more than 100 buildings. Union Village was parent to other communities in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Georgia.---------------------------------------
