Circa 1840 Sheffield silver plate Rococo hot water coffee or tea urn, hotwater kettle, S Roberts, Smith & Co, Sheffield, England, bell touchmark, inlaid silver square for engraved crest, pear shape kettle on tilting stand, shaped leaf motif handle with solid ivory grip, sunflower lid finial, engraved crest, scroll leaf stand with rocaille feet, removable alcohol warming burner.
Scottish clan crest. Coat of Arms – Macfarlane - “THIS I’LL DEFEND”-upper wreath, demi-savage holding sword and pointing to crown with left hand, “TRIA / CTA / UNO”, soldier with drawn sword and rearing horse supporting family crest of Saltire cross and four roses, “LOCH SLOY”,-lower ribbon, with three awards/crosses-

11.5” tall, 15” with handle raised, 12.5” spout to back, 9” dia.
Condition – excellent original surface, nominal wear-only wear thru to copper at lid hinge area, solid handle with good repair to rocaille/hinge.      841h
