Circa 1820 Sheraton lolling chair, mahogany, turned and reeded legs, inlaid bowed skirt, great Classical scrolled leaf carved knuckles, padded scroll arms, comfortable shaped back with well scrolled and arched crest, brass feet turning with castors, square brass feet on rear sabre legs. 39” tall, 25” wide, 30” deep, 16” seat height. Condition – overall excellent, has two old repaired legs (one shows the handmade screw/both repairs are solid and inoffensive), one original cup castors/three custom made-to-match solid brass cups, good used upholstery/light stain over front of back-see photos. 1118 Provenance – via descendant of Bragg family, of Mitchell-Bragg Mansion, Mobile, AL |
