Great near pair of 19th century porcelain pitchers with lids, Bing & Grondahl, Denmark, beautifully modeled gilt lion and matte lioness sitting on top of scrolled handle with anthemion leaf sprig, interesting double fluted rim.
1) finely handpainted floral wreath on lion pitcher, unmarked, incised II mark.
2) finely handpainted floral sprigs on lioness pitcher, blue B&G (1853-94) and incised markings.
10” tall, 6” dia.
Condition – excellent overall, no nicks or cracks, shows nominal wear. 414h
