Circa 1933 railroad ware porcelain dinner plate, "Illinois Central System", IC RR, Creole pattern, Arts & Crafts Patio, Royal Street, New Orleans courtyard scene, colorful Classic floral and scroll borders with cornucopia compote.
Backstamp- "Bauscher China / Made in Weiden-Bavaria / Reg US Pat Off / Arther Schiller & Son / Chicago 1933".

10.5” dia.
Condition – some knife marks / restored - to scene (possibly factory transfer repairs), no chips, cracks or porcelain repairs.   150ab

- Illinois Central System RR 
(incorporated 1836 / chartered 1851)Often referred to as the Main Line of Mid-America” connecting Chicago, IL with New Orleans, LA.
- The Panama Limited, Chicago IL to New Orleans, LA (1911-1971). A premier all-Pullman passenger service that used the Creole scene china service.
- Creole scenes, a set of eight various New Orleans, LA French Quarter scenes produced in the 1930s. Used onboard "The Panama Limited" in the 1930s. These large service plates are some of the more desirable dining car china services from the golden era of rail travel.
- Bauscher Brothers Porcelain, Weiden, Bavaria (started 1881).
